Brea's New Sport Park ~ It's A Party & You're Invited!
It's finally here, the opening of Brea's brand new sports park!
Mark your calendar and plan on attending, this coming Saturday, February 14th! It's a great event, the long awaited grand opening of our new Sports Park in the City of Brea at 3333 Birch Street, the corner of Birch and Valencia at the eastern side of Brea.
The site is 26 improved acres and home to baseball and softball fields in addition to batting cages and a pratice field. Like soccer? Check out the facilities here. Or maybe the basketball courts, it's all here. There's even a playground and concession areas, something for everyone.
Events begin Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Help celebrate with your friends and neighbors.
The site was purchased from UNOCAL, a total of 39 acres. Twenty-six to be used for the sports park and the remaining portion for the site of a future school.

Lynda, it sounds like a wonderful contribution to your community. I love these family centered parks!!
Lynda - This is exciting news and one that will be appreciated by all. So how do you plan to use this park? I know a place to bring your grandchildren.
Lynda - what a great opportunity for the Brea residents. Every community should havd a park like this. You are clearly the Brea real estate expert.

Hi Lynda, A great local interest story. I hope though that the future school is a private or charter school, our state actually does need a few more of those.
Did you hear the rumblings out of Sacramento tonight? New taxes are on the way. Sales Tax, Gasoline Tax and Income Tax. I am delighted that the wonderful citizens of this great state are finally getting what they voted for. BTW, the other party has decided to give in so the citizens will not be denied their fabulous increases in spending and tax collections. This should also be great for our property values. After all it is Patriotic to be for more taxes and more spending and with our great weather coupled with higher energy costs and water rates that are beginning to resemble monthly food bills, who wouldn't want to buy into this American nightmare dream.
Marchel, Jennifer, Jeff & William,
Thank you for your comments, this is a huge event for our city. There have been discussions on this sports park for years and years. Truthfully at times we wondered if it was ever going to happen, but it has.
And William ~ Sorry to say most of us in this great state have been sold down the river by politicans on both sides. I well remember and miss what California once was...
Lynda that is great news! Who wouldn't want to have another great park for sports activities. Just adds to the appeal of Brea:)
Lynda--What great news for the kids! I have a young baseball player in my house and he loves it when they get to play on new, good fields! Sounds like Brea likes to invest in their youth!
Bill & Teri ~ Yes, it is good news for our community.
